Connecting Spotify

BCKSTG connects to Spotify two ways:

Autofill (no login required): During onboarding or in your dashboard, search for your artist name. BCKSTG pulls your releases, monthly listeners, and profile data using Spotify's public API.

Pre-saves (OAuth): Fans can pre-save upcoming releases directly from your fan page. Connect your Spotify account via OAuth in Integrations.

Important about pre-saves: Spotify pre-saves are currently limited while BCKSTG awaits Extended Quota approval from Spotify. This is a Spotify platform restriction tied to their app review process — we can't override it. If pre-saves aren't available on your page yet, fans who attempt to pre-save are still captured: BCKSTG notifies them via email and SMS (if opted in) the moment your release drops so they don't miss it.
